Let's look at the most common garden structures and their characteristics:
- Pergolas: are shaded walkways with pillars that support cross open beams and a lattice for providing shade.
- Arbors: are not passageways but areas where to sit and enjoy the shade, they are built in the same fashion (posts, cross beams and lattice)
are wooden stuctures that provide support for climbing plants such as grapes, vins and roses.
