Happy New Year!
From Ela Bannick & the Bear Creek Lumber Staff

Twenty Years of TIMBERLINE
This newsletter started as a hand-folded one page letter to customers twenty years ago. I wrote the text on my original Macintosh computer and was basically just text. I would photocopy pictures on to the page, or use my own drawings. Then, my four children and I would sit in the living room folding, sealing and sorting until all 4,000 copies were ready for the mail.
Today I work on a G5 Mac, using InDesign 3.0. I send the copy on CD to New York where it is published and mailed out to points worldwide by Graphics Printing Plus and Mailbox of Ithaca, who do a fantastic job of getting this newsletter to you, our readers. 2006 also marks the tenth anniversity of TIMBERLINE online. You can read all ten years worth of back issues right on the website!
Thanks to all for reading, contributing articles and info, and sending all those wonderful pictures of your projects through the years. Please keep them coming!

The Freight Department
Bringing It Home To You
Bear Creek Lumber ships all over the world. The main terminal is right here in Winthrop where we use both company trucks, and hired brokers to get your product to you. As seen on the bottom right, everything is neatly wrapped prior to shipment. Bear Creek Lumber has recently begun to load flat racks for ocean shipment right in the yard, which has aided our transoceanic shipments.
Bear Creek is also a licensed freight hauler and can offer assitsance with your load if you need transmountain or other shipping.
For more information about Bear Creek Lumber 's freight department, contact James Witkowski at (800) 597-7191, fax (509) 997-2040 or email he would be happy to answer any questions you have.
